Inland Diversified Real Estate Trust has acquired Memorial Commons, an 111,271 square foot shopping center in Goldsboro, NC, for $17.7 million.
Memorial Commons is located at the gateway to Wayne Memorial Hospital and Wayne County Community College, according to the website for real estate organization CASTO.
Anchored by Office Depot and a new 53,232 square foot Harris Teeter, Memorial Commons offers contemporary architecture, signage and parking. In addition to inline and restaurant space, one outparcel with frontage on US-70 is available.
Tenants at the shopping center include Starbucks, US Cellular and Coldwell Banker, among others.
In a letter to shareholders, Robert D. Parks and Barry L. Lazarus, Chairman and President of Inland Diversified Real Estate Trust, wrote that the firm must replace some properties it sold to Realty Income with multi-tenant retail properties in order to close its recently announced merger with Kite Realty Group.
This is the first of the replacement properties.
